Duncan’s journey in real estate began with guidance from his father, a respected real estate valuer with decades of experience. Building on this foundation, Duncan pursued formal training as a real estate valuer with M3 Property. His career advanced through roles at Pinnacle Property Group and the Future Fund, where he developed and implemented real estate investment strategies for institutional portfolios. His expertise was further refined at LUCRF Super and The Townsend Group in London, where he advised global clients and contributed to European real estate research.
In addition to his professional achievements, Duncan has a rich background in property development, renovation, and investment. His personal projects have showcased his hands-on approach and deep understanding of the market:
Kilsyth (2001-Present): Duncan purchased a new build house in Kilsyth as his first investment property. Over the years, he has maintained and enhanced the property, benefiting from its strong performance and steady value growth.
Lilydale (2002-2006): He delivered his first development project, a two-lot subdivision and comprehensive renovation. This project highlighted his ability to manage complex developments and deliver high-quality results.
Prahran (2007-2012): Duncan renovated and sold a single-fronted weatherboard house. The successful transformation of this property into a desirable residence showcases his expertise in revitalising and adding value to older properties.
Kilsyth (2009-2024): Duncan acquired a house at frame stage from the builder in 2009 as a buy and hold investment and successfully sold it in 2024, demonstrating his strategic investment and long-term planning capabilities.
Williamstown (2012-2024): He acquired, renovated, and sold a three bedroom art deco apartment, reflecting his skill in identifying valuable opportunities and executing effective renovations.
Berlin, Germany (2014-Present): Duncan has acquired and renovated a two-storey house and several apartments, showcasing his ability to navigate and thrive in diverse international real estate markets.
Williamstown (2024-Present): Duncan is currently renovating and extending a double fronted weatherboard property in the heritage precinct of historic Williamstown, continuing his commitment to quality and preservation.
